About the Trust

St Mary's Preservation Trust is a charity which is separate from St Mary's Church, Parish of Hitchin. It exists solely to help preserve the historic Church building for future generations to enjoy. Caring for a building of the age and importance of St Mary's is a continuing challenge, which is why the Trust was established nearly 50 years ago, to work in partnership with the Church Council.

The Heart of Hitchin is the flagship campaign now launched to highlight the most urgent tasks, and to raise funds in a variety of ways.
